The legislation concerning the energy performance of buildings has come into effect. This directive requires every newly built house or alteration to reach a certain level of energy supply, energy-saving and ventilation. Mathematically this means that every residence has its own amount of energy consumption (E-level). All aspects that have an influence on this E-level are being calculated and by doing so we obtain the energy rating that shows us the E-level and the theoretical energy use of that building. Before the activities start a reporter has to be appointed. This reporter will assist the architect while designing the construction in such a way that the building complies with the demands. During the execution he will also check whether the used materials and techniques correspond with the ones that were designed. After finishing the construction report will be made.
